The Iranian threat to block the straits of Hormuz is an empty threat, unfortunately. If they ever dare too, this would leave no other option but a US military action which would crash them. And as a bonus we get a spike in oil prices that hopefully would demonstrate the urgency in finding a replacement to muslim oil.
