Dream
« on: June 23, 2007, 06:19:43 PM »
I know Chaim told me that dreams are not signs and i am not suggesting that they are, however i had an extremely weird dream last night and was wondering what it could mean.........and why i could possibly dream of such a thing! :)

To keep it simple....two jews, looking east european burst into my home and demanded that i give them the contents of all the cupboards and to pour a huge jar of salt on top of it, into their bag. Then they went out of the flat and down the stairs, while i ran to the door and hastely locked it and tried taping the frame to the wall, with parcel tape. Then they wailed "No, It was a lie!!" and i could hear them coming up the stairs...they tried barging into the door while i pushed against it and finally they spray painted onto the glass frame of the door "You killed Rebbe Moshe...." There was something else but i can't remeber it. Then the next moment they were inside weeping and exclaiming how they missed him so etc...

I cannot believe that this would be a stimuli of my days events, since i didn't do much at all.

OK let's disect this:

1. 2 Ashkanazi Jews
2. Salt and cupboard
3. Jews saying it was a lie
4. Spray paint
5. You killing of Rebbe Moshe

Well, earlier yesterday your mom wanted you to help with the salt and cleaning out the cupboard or something.
You feel guilty as a former Muslim about how many Muslims have killed Jews
Spray paint is just a wierd synapse in the brain.
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

I would indeed say your dream is highly advanced ... usually a sign of a creative mind and high intelligence !
I would state that dreams are a reflection of yearning and anxiety.  Perhaps you read an intriguing novel, saw a movie, most likely something Mysterious which would explain your highly complex, evolved Vision.

Very intriguing though ! 8)

I had this beautiful dream about the World to Come. It was so beautiful... there was no stress... no worries... no one locked any doors... everyone was kind and respectful to one another... I didn't want to wake up.

at what time of the night did this dream happen?

Tzvi Ben Roshel,

It was all night... it was the only dream I had and it was one of those dreams that you couldn't tell if it was real or not.

Why do you ask?

Cant be. Dreams are usually very quick, within seconds or minutes. Knowing which part of the night (divided into three) the dream happened would tell a lot about the dream and what it might mean, etc.

Seminar - January 29, 2007 - Deams and Demons. Maybe you will find your answer, you for sure will learn a lot of essential Torah. (during a part of the lecture the Rav tells a list of dreams and what happens and what it means.)  Also do you know Russian, if yes I have a link to a very great Rav talking about Dreams.

Hmmm... well since I woke up from it, it would have to be the last third.

My opinion is if a dream repeats itself three nights in a row then it is divinely given, if it only happens once then it is just your brain thinking about things that you thought about during the day.

Thats only if it happened during the first part of the night.

I know, Im soo Happy to read that. I love listing to Rabbi Mizrahi's lectures. He also makes lectures Sunday nights in Queens (near Queens Blvard, in Ohr Natan, and other lectures available from him and other Great Rabbanim on http://www.kolyakov.org/rabbis.html - He is Rabbi Mizrahi. The lecture "Divine Information" is a must, You can watch a video of it (in Hebrew with English Subtitles).

Then it would be something that is stressing you and showing itself off symbolically.
