The ACLU has helped the KKK groups do this before. Honestly if they're really not hateful like they say and they just want to help white people then they seriously need to drop that title for their org and remove the silly costumes.

They act like their dumb rituals mean something but they're just pseudo-pagan, pseudo-masonic rituals that don't accomplish anything but make them look like mental defectives.

Nobody is ever going to take someone seriously if they go around calling themselves KKK. All they do is harm their own cause by being part of a KKK organization. That's a "brand image" that can't be restored, no matter what, and it shouldn't be.
