Definitely, maybe if the Israeli gov didn't cancel the Lavi we could have something like that by 2000.

If Israel could tranfer out these 2 million murderous, parasitic Arabs, and stop paying for all their welfare services for all these decades- Israel would have probably developed and marketed this super sonic  plane attack plane,  themselves.  Not to mention everything else, they could have done with all these billions of dollars in welfare payments, for murderous Arabs occupying Israel.    Israel would blow the world away with advancement after advancement if they didn't  have to divert these billions of dollars in housing these Arabs.  With the Israeli leadership we have now, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

There was one issue, however.  It was too expensive for Israel and only to have a handful of planes relative to what a much larger country needs.  It would be cheaper to buy great American planes and use Israeli technology to run it. 

I mean it would be great if Israel can do its own unique thing and nobody else in the world have that technology.  However it doesn't sound practical or efficient.
