If there were to be a WWIII, China would only be drawn into a physical with the US one the US comes to aid Japan and South Korea and Taiwan as China is fighting Japan.  As a result of this, China will choose the side of the oil rich Muslim/Iranian/Arab nations.  As a result, China will have all of the monopoly on getting oil and then redistributing it at high costs to the rest of the world.  China would be essentially drowning in oil.  This will weaken the US and the only way the US would be able to climb out of that rut is using non oil resources, such as natural gas, clean coal, and shale oil, to be an alternative and more efficient, cheaper, source of energy.  Oil will only bring conflict.  As a result, nations will turn away from China to gets its energy and turn to the US and Israel for their abundant sources. In that time, the US will get out of its rut.  China and the Muslim nations will only drown in their oil and kill each other in the process like they do today.

I assume the "few" of NATO would be the Islamic nations like Turkey and Bosnia?

I like Dr. Dan's prediction. My prediction considers those Chinese border raids into Russian territory, however. Thus, Russia would probably be dragged into it, although we all know that they do want to make wars into cash cows.

My prediction is based on the premise that Obama and PRC are in love. Seriously, Obama would turn to the side of NK and fight a Russo-Japanese coalition in a heartbeat.

Russia would then become the dominator, assuming the world survives.

Sadly, with the Iran crisis upcoming, we KNOW that the next great war will break out soon. Thanks, Obama. You killed hundreds of millions for your political agenda.

Actually, considering that Obama may be a Muslim, he could just screw NATO and defect to Iran's side.

This would make most of NATO (except for Islamic nations) not only fight against America and China but fight for Russia. What irony?! Haha.

In before this comes true and Russia, UK, and Japan beat down China, Islam, and America in one war.

You know what'd be weird about that, though?

Israel would be on Russia's side.

If Romney wins, though, I think that my theory breaks down. Then we end up having America/NATO, ANZUS, and Israel against Russia and Muslims...just like the Cold War could have gone.

Im thinking as Europe crumbles....  people will get more desperate... and eventually, would-be dictators will take advantage of this... and take control... A country cant have 20% unemployment for a long time without the people getting so fed up... they will eventually vote in a wacko... or allow a wacko to overthrow the government

Obiviously Greece and Spain are candidates... but I wouldnt be surprised to see France and Italy in this list soon.

At any rate... they will more than likely be insanely crazy socialist/communists....  and they will turn the country into a dictatorship faster than you can say 'Reichstag fire decree'  Anyway... assuming they are crazy enough... and have nukes to back it up... they will start trying to annex their neighbors.....  and assuming the rest of the world behaves like they did in the 1930's....  everyone will denounce it... but nothing will be done.... especially if nukes are involved....  and if anything... countries like Russia who have been waiting on the sidelines... will get in on the act and use this as an excuse to start on the war path.

Also.. if the US continues going down the same road of bankruptcy.... our millitary will continue to be cut... and we will be utterly ineffective to stop this anyway.

One last thing, if and when countries like Egypt and Iran become nuclear... then they will no doubt be sending these nukes to Al queda and others ... when that happens....   things could get ugly..

One thing is certain that the WWIII will be marred by various shifting and swinging opportunistic alliances in between. Even Russia will finally go on to the side of Israel only after the US becomes neutral and the victory of Israel clearly gets visible on the cards.
