This election has made me start to hate my leftist friends

I'm extremely upset that my friends can't easily be convinced away from their leftist brainwashing. I'm really resentful of the fact that they are helping to make this world a darker and more evil place. It makes me want to have nothing to do with any of them anymore. People I've known for a long time and tolerated their having different viewpoints now just seem repulsive to me in ways I didn't even realize before because they are able to vote for someone like Obama. I am very upset with them. I want to grab them, shake them, scream at them to WAKE THE HELL UP. It's getting really bad now. This country can't afford to go more leftist than it already is. G-d will destroy the USA for its wickedness and all the good people will be punished along with the bad.

I voted today but I don't know how much good it even did. Will my vote be counted? How many dead people/illegal aliens/dogs and cats voted and canceled mine out even if it is counted? I can't stop Obama supporters from going in to vote either.

I really think that the leftist mindset is demonic in nature in the sense that if someone lets it infect them then there is absolutely no good thing they can do that will cancel out or make better the evil they are doing by supporting leftist policies.

My closest friends are not leftist and they respect my views although I am more extreme then everyone else. But my family is so hopelessly leftist, some even hard core leftists.

But people are entitled to their own opinion. What can I do.

Many friends will be lost in this election. My mother has lost several of her left-leaning friends. Some don't call her anymore , and my mom will never call them... I don't have any leftist friends {but I dont have a lot of friends anyway}...

There were people that I thought were generally good but a little misguided before... that I now see as advocating baby murder, homosexual perversion, uncontrolled third world immigration, etc. and I realize that all along, they were really evil people. They were never good. They were always rotten.... rotten rotten inside and out.

I understand the frustration though. I used to think I was on the left but I saw the folly of that.

Trouble is not everyone is as smart as me and trying to get people to take the same mental steps... to bring them out of it.

The vast majority of non-political chats and forums with people my age are dominated by leftists.

I'm glad you are AD. You're really wonderful

I've never been leftist, but due to work circumstances I once made friends with someone who at the time I had no idea was a raving liberal.  But after we were already friends, it eventually came out, and we were able to remain friends while we didn't talk about politics, but once the conversation turned to politics we were always arguing.  Eventually he got another job and moved away and I did not make efforts to keep in contact with him.

I feel like I should lose contact with some of these people but who knows if I might be the person to lead them out of that mindset one day?
