The Des Moines Register is the largest and most important newspaper in the swing state of Iowa. The Register supported Barack Hussein Obama in 2008. In fact, this liberal newspaper has supported every Democrat candidate for president in the last 40 years. But tonight the Register announced that they are endorsing Mitt Romney this year:

In another key swing state, Florida, two major newspapers that backed Obama in 2008 have now endorsed Romney - the Orlando Sentinel and the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel.

Do you think it could be a little too late?  The news makes it seem Obama has a good lead in Ohio.  Then again, you never know with these polls.

I have already voted for the state of Nj.  There will be record turn outs for this election.  I will be impressed with a decisive romney win in states that are called blue.
If someone says something bad about you, say something nice about them. That way, both of you would be lying.

In your heart you know WE are right and in your guts you know THEY are nuts!

If Romney is as far ahead as Gallup and Rasmussen say then the Electoral College will take care of itself.
We all need to pray for Barack Obama, may the Lord provide him a safe move back to Chicago in January 2,013.

Three more major Iowa newspapers have now endorsed Romney, baruch Hashem. In addition to the Des Moines Register, the other three are the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the Quad City Times, and the Sioux City Journal.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette and the Quad City Times both strongly supported Obama in 2008. So their switch, together with the switch of the Des Moines Register, means that three major Iowa newspapers who supported Obama in 2008 are now backing Romney.

The Sioux City Journal is the only one of the four to support John McCain in 2008. They are also backing Romney this year.

Will this have an impact in Iowa where polls show that Obama has a slight lead? G-d willing, let's hope so.

In Nevada, another key swing state where Obama has a slight lead, the Reno Gazette Journal has switched from Obama in 2008 to Romney this year.

What could possibly be the reason for this? What selfish interest?

This is good! Obama went after the Des Moines register, for printing a conversation between him and the register. So the register printed this... http://jtf.org/forum/index.php/topic,64821.msg566157.html#msg566157

Romney needs the 270 electoral votes to win.  Last week, Real Clear Politics showed Romney leading Obama in EC votes.  But he's since then lost that lead.

Now can you imagine if Obama were to win the required EC votes but not the popular vote, given how the left always complains about the Electoral College?
