I got a call from my 'primary' Chabad Rabbi tonight. He wanted to share the joy he was experiencing at the International Conference of Chabad Rabbis in Brooklyn this evening. It was already 9:30PM in California so it was about 12:30AM in NY... He was in the middle of a big Farbregen and wanted to see how I was feeling. I shared with him my disappointment in the election results. This Rabbi is fully aware of my political leanings and he too is very disappointed in the direction this country is going.

Here is Rabbi Mendy Cohen, whom I have met, who is the Chabad Rabbi of Sacramento, CA telling a story about the mikvah that they built. He actually told this story when he attended a Shabbaton held by one of my Rabbis.

I love Chabad Rabbis, they all seem to know each other or are related. Here is Rabbi Moshe Bryski who I believe is a brother of a Chabad Rabbi who I know {and spent the week my father died with} Rabbi Chaim Bryske of Thousand Oaks, CA.

Wow, I watched the Conference live on webcast this afternoon. It was awesome and I am so glad that Chabad reaffirmed its commitment to a strong Jewish presence in Eretz Yisroel. Twice it was emphasized that no land should be given away to the enemy, and that the Jewish people have a divine right to the land, as the children of Abraham.

In this video Rabbi Dr Israel Drazin relates his meeting with the last Lubavitcher Rebbe. He was the Asst. Chief Jewish Chaplain of the US Army and was told by the Rebbe to teach the non-Jews about the seven Noachide laws. Rabbi Drazin was not initially motivated but eventually did present this topic to his fellow Chaplains in the service. He was succesfull in his mission...

Wow Muman, I just started watching this today, Rabbi Schneerson was a great man. I found he was close to President Reagan.

Yes indeed the Rebbe did a lot of work in his lifetime to ensure that Judaism would continue to be taught, Torah would be learned, and mitzvot would be performed. Many great leaders have spoken with the Rebbe, and his letters to the greats of Torah are many.

During this years Conference Bibi Netanyahu gave a short speech via video which is now on Youtube...
