Bought myself something special for Chanukkah and I am so excited about it.. It is an Armalite AR-10T 7.62/308 20" SS match barrel. I then installed a Magpul PRS stock and Palm ergo grip on it. I've matched this gun with Nightforce NXS scope on a LaRue QD mount. This will be my long range bench gun and I am excited to get it to the range. My biggest issue with 308 is finding affordable ammo, but I am planning on getting a reloading setup soon and 308 will be one of my primary reloading calibers. With the right shooter, this gun could easily be a consistent 1000 yard shooter. Many sniper units in the police and military are replacing their bolt guns with semi auto precision rifles like these.
