Bronx, NY - Vandals have repeatedly attacked a Pelham Parkway synagogue, smashing several stained-glass windows, but politicians and police are coming together to try to thwart future attacks.
At least three times last month, windows at the Educational Jewish Center on Astor Ave. were smashed with rocks and brick debris, said Alec Feldman, the temple's president.
The NYPD's 49th Precinct is stepping up efforts to combat the vandalism, cops said.
The precinct has sent special units to the temple to investigate and boosted patrols in the area. [dailynews]
