There is unfortunately a growing number of nuts who believe that a large amount of the fakestinians (I've heard claims ranging between 50 & 80%) are Jews who were forceably converted to Islam (and christianity) as recently as 200-300 years ago and that the solution to the Israeli-fakestinian conflict is to allow them to rejoin the jewish people. One of the nuts who believes this is Doreen Dotan. They point to supposed genetic tests that proved they are Jewish. Some of the docums I've seen claim that many of them secretly continue to practice Judaism at least partially to this very day.

There is one of the Druze villages on mt Carmel where it's well known about 250 yrs ago they converted to drusism rather then Islam this is well known and many not so secretly practice Judaism
