Queens, NY - Police investigators thoroughly searched the Middle Village offices of Queens City Councilman Dennis Gallagher Monday as part of an ongoing investigation.
Gallagher's attorney Steven Mahler says he does not know what the police search was about.
There’s no word yet what investigators were searching for, and there was no immediate comment from the NYPD or a Council spokeswoman.
Gallagher entered the Council in 2002 and is just one of three Republicans in the 51-member body. The 43-year-old is a former investigator for the state crime victims board and had served as the chief of staff to former Council Minority Leader Tom Ognibene.
