The introduction to JTF videos
« on: January 24, 2013, 08:24:47 AM »
I have a question about that 3-4 second introduction to all of JTF's videos: Why is there an Israeli soldier in it? Aren't we not exactly proud of many of the army's actions over the years? While I definitely agree that the army does a lot of good (and of course some serious issues along with the good) and it is warranted to have the soldier included in the video, I've read quite a bit on this forum that makes me wonder why that image would be in a video that has Rav Kahane and other heroes.
Next, why are the Fogel kids in the video? There were thousands of Jews who were maimed and killed by the Arab Nazis, so why focus on these kids? Obviously, the gruesomeness of the way they were killed is petrifying, but do they have to be used in this manner? Personally, I think that Tamar Fogel, who has to live with this every day, should be in there with them, if not instead of them.
I'm only curious and not trying to be chutzpadik.
