Hello dear [Jewish & non-Jewish] readers!
I don't know how to put it neatly but here it goes.
As some of you may [or may not] have noticed by glancing at my avatar. I am a person of half-Jewish and half-Western European descent in the strictest genetic sense of the term. I found out that I was descended from the priestly Cohanim on my father's side and from the Germanic tribes of the North Sea on my mother's side. Of course I already knew that I was patrilineally Jewish long before I ever took a DNA test. But it's always good to know more about one's ancestry by any means necessary. (:
You and I share an admiration for Kahane's ardent love of the Jewish people and support of Zionism. That is how I found this board in the first place. But as with everything, I also have my fair share of disagreement on some issues. I am a secular (but in no way liberal/leftist) person. And I sincerely think there is more to Judaism and Jewry than the Torah. For me it is a matter of (genetic) inheritance, and you will thus find my support to be more ethnically than religiously oriented. I cannot deny either my Jewish or North European ancestry. I hope you will understand that.
I currently live in socialist, pro-muslim Western Europe. And I am getting increasingly sickened by the mood in here quite frankly, hopefully this place will act as a small bit of relief from this society.
Best Regards!
Gersham.
