Firefox help plz

Can anyone help me with this.
So today I opened up Mozilla and all my add block and other security settings were disabled so I had to reinstall them all.
I then installed the latest version of Firefox to 12.0 and my Roboform wouldn't work.
So then I went to try and update Roboform to 7 and the jerks wanted me to pay to update it even though I paid for the yearly subscription about 2 weeks ago. (I had it for about 3 years and you just pay for the subscription not the update as they advertise & since I was an existing customer before Sep 2010 I get the subscription for 9.99 each year. Now they want me to pay a full 29.99 for the new update to work on firefox 12, so I am just keeping my version 6 and they said you can keep using it on firefox 11.)
So anyway I went to reinstall firefox 11 and somehow downloaded a Spanish version. Now all my toolbars are in Spanish and each time I try to download firefox 11 on different sites it just keeps coming up in Spanish.
Can anyone offer any help, thanks in advance.

#1) Drop RoboForm. They used to have zero competition (I used them for over a decade) but that has changed. They did the same thing to me. Instead, grab LastPass:

Make sure to grab the full install AND LastPass for applications (makes it more like RoboForm with the tray icon). They have a RoboForm import. It only works with version 6 of RoboForm so if you are a later version, simply downgrade:

LastPass is completely free. It has the same features as the latest RoboForm and then stores the data on their server so you can access your logins from anywhere. And it's very secure. They can never restore a password or see any of your information because your data is encrypted on your machine locally before it is ever sent their server (just like Roboform does).

What are the differences?

Roboform

• Better search for encrypted notes
• More encryption algorithm options
• Slightly better interface with tray application
• Popup login notes
• A little better USB drive support (doesn't need portable Firefox - but does make a mess on your drive)
• Handles multiple credit cards in a slightly more organized way
• Better thumbprint scanner support

LastPass

• Notes can have file attachments
• Generate pronounceable passwords
• Share notes with other LastPass users
• Automatic updates (Roboform is insane with manual updates)
• Free!
• Linux and more browsers supported including 64 bit browsers
• Detects and updates passwords better
• Unlimited storage space in cloud server
• Export data
• Allows you to restrict access from TOR or selected countries
• Allows you to easily copy the username or password to the clipboard

Other than that, they are the same.

#2) Install the latest Firefox. You need the security updates and certificates. Unfortunately, you really won't be successful running an older version. I tried.

Also, they have made a lot of speed and memory improvements recently.

Just make these changes:

Type "about:config" in your address bar and hit enter to view your internal browser settings. Make these changes:

geo.enabled = false
dom.storage.enabled = false
browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled = false
browser.urlbar.trimURLs = false

To put the tabs back:

browser.tabs.onTop = false

To disable the irritating new downloader:

browser.download.useToolkitUI = true
browser.download.manager.retention = 0

To stop the long wait after downloads:

browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone = false

Install these addons:

• AddBlock Plus
• Ghostery (make sure to go into advanced options and set everything)
• RefControl
• Status-4-Evar
• Facebook Disconnect
• Twitter Disconnect
• Google Privacy

Optional other cool addons to check out:

• Copy Urls Expert
• Link Alert
• Self-Destructing Cookies (you have to create a whitelist)
• Speed Dial
• Thumbnail Zoom Plus
• Xmarks (made by the same folks as LastPass)

Lastly, you can back up all your Firefox settings using MozBackup once you get things set up the way you wish:

To delete your Firefox settings before a restore, delete these two folders (or to delete language settings):

C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla
C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Mozilla

With the Spanish problem you are having, uninstall Firefox (recommended: then delete those two folders above) and reinstall the latest. That is the only way to fix your Spanish language problem.

Question: what's a whitelist and how do I create one?

I have installed lastpass for free but what is the difference of the premium and free one?

Have you ever resolved your issue from a couple of months ago? If you have your installation disk you should be able to reinstall Windows from scratch (after backing up your data, of course)...

Thanks, My computer sucks as do my problem solving skills about this. Shlomo was kind enough to walk me through the steps to fix this.  I just need to buy a back up thing.  Also, do I risk reinstalling the viruses on here when I put my stuff back on the computer.  My express code thing is worn away somehow and I can't even get through to dell to buy a new battery.
