This is a religious war between Alawites and Shiites on one side and Sunnis on the other side. But if you think these are anti-Islam "normal" people you are probably incorrect. They are simply quranimals of a different sect.

If they are Muslims of another sect, why would they prostrate themselves like that? It would seem idolatrous. It's like praying to a love god (Since you mention virgins.).

I don't support killing of any human being unless it is for self defense in that particular situation. Killing in name of some cause or because someone else told you so is a horrible deception. Hate is also something that eats a person within amd causes lot of emotional suffering.

Muslims killing each other is self-defense, because it ensures they won't continue to practice their religion on us.

Good article on the Alawites as an ethnoreligious group. I guess Arab Muslims can't help but piss people off and when they get tired of it they finally revolt against them(just like the Jews and Kurds). If Iran didn't ally with the Alawites recently and they were a majority in Syria I bet they would have been able to make peace with Israel a long time ago.

Who wants peace with Syria? The armistice agreement after the Yom Kippur War actually brought real peace in the Golan Heights. It is the safest of all of Israel's borders even without a piece of toilet paper "peace" agreement. The piece agreement with Egypt allowed all the garbage to infiltrate into Israel. This includes weapons and drugs as well as human garbage from all over Sub-Saharan Africa. The even smuggled in a lion for the zoo in Gaza. I feel sorry for the lion though. If it ate Arabs, I would feel sorry for the it. Lions should eat their natural prey, not terrorist garbage.

The Jordanian Border obviously is infested by the Fakestinians in Judea and Samaria and Lebanon has the Hizbullah animals. So the Syrian border is the quietest. There's never any bombings there. The most that happened was a Hizbullah rocket landed there and I think it landed on a Druze village. Sometimes Syrians seek refuge in Israel. But there is never any security threat for the peace and safety of Jews in the Golan Heights. It's even safer than Tel Aviv.

But the Schiites and Alawites have centuries of persecuction behind them. Of cause there are two reactions how you can handle this. First is you have the anxiety to please, or you fight back and check your believes.

Iran and Hisbollah choose the first and try to be more radical in attacking Israel in order to please the Sunni-Mainstream - what is obviously not working.

Iran and Hisbollahs policy makes in the light of the continued aggression of Sunni-Islam no sense. You hear nearly everyday of savage attacks against Schiites. Mainly in Irak and in Pakistan, but also in Bahrein. The Iran leadership has openly decleared, that the Arab spring is the continuation of the Islamic revolution in Iran and that they welcome it. As I read this I thought instantly, that this leadership is nuts or evil to their own citizen. Now they are forced in a conflict what they wanted to avoid. This conflict will purge the things.

The more intelligent ones will ask or are already asking questions about the policy of their leaders. And I think the war in Syria will change things permanently. Israel has only to make the right decisions and to stay out of the conflict.

Yes the gouvernment has this agenda. But the people? In the diaspora the Iranians behave very well. I have only met nice people. I even went with two girls to school. They were polite and well educated. And they never cursed the infidels or the Jews. The same I expirienced with business contacts.

Where do you fetch the statistics from ? Iran has a semi secular urban elite but the rural masses and slum dwellers are quranimals. If they are going to rise against the Ayatollah regime it's because of socio-economic failure of their regime.
