Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach Sings to Jewish Hospital Audience
« on: October 06, 2013, 10:28:58 PM »
It is a mitzvah to visit the sick, to provide them with company and compassion. Here is a performance he did at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles in 1994... I wish I knew about it at the time, it was before my return in 2003, because I was living in Los Angeles in 1994.

You shall make yourself the Festival of Sukkoth for seven days, when you gather in [the produce] from your threshing floor and your vat.And you shall rejoice in your Festival-you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities
Duet 16:13-14

I am currently praying for the Refuah Shlema (Complete Healing) for my step-father who has a cancer which has spread (to his lungs) and yet he still has hope.

His Hebrew name is Issa Ben Sarah...
