I live on a small piece of land (20 acres) between Houston and San Antonio.  As far as I know we are the only Jewish family in the entire county.  However, there are many more cows than people in the county. I am a retired Coast Guard Officer so I am probably labled a right wing extremist by our government.  I also belong to JPFO Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.  My interests include self sufficient agriculture, organic gardening, prepping, wood working and Judaic studies. :usa+israel:

Welcome to JTF forum... 20 acres of land sounds like a good size spread to a life long New Yorker such as myself... On land like that you can indeed be more or less be self sufficient to some extent.

 :agree:I have tried on several occasions to convince legislators and others to allow the cultivation of industrial hemp.  It is a crop with many applications and very few if any insect problems.  It is much more eco-friendly than cotton.

Stupid druggies ruin it for everyone... have you ever heard of the sound recording thing that sounds like birds chirping that was apparently taken from Torah codes to increase crop yield? I've been looking for that because I knew a farmer a while back who had great experiences with it, but I haven't found it since.
