Agreed.... but there certainly is a LOT of excessive force these days. Many officers seem to think a lack of respect is justification for force, even when respect is given but not to their liking. More and more it seems many officers feel compelled to exert their dominance, especially over women and teenagers or anyone they perceive as weak.
I have seen someone be very compliant and an officer scream "stop resisting" and then the whole crew pile on twisting limbs and pressing in pressure points to cause pain to the detained..... oh and the pepper spray.
It would be great if there were a way to weed out the officers that are there just so they can bully people and exert their dominance.

This is a result of diminishing acceptance standards, lack training and appropriate physics for a police officer. Women, shorties, pot bellied cops are much more prone to use excessive force than well built police of yesteryear.  Welcome to crazy word of PC when police officer tazers a wheel-chaired "perp"
