Yes, I would have celebrated. The defeat of the Nazis didn't cost the lives of millions of German civilians (of course neo-nazis will argue that it did, and talk about imaginary massacres while denying the Holocaust). On the other hand, America didn't finish the job because the communists controlled half of Europe for them to terrorize and commit genocides of the same scale.

 Actually, Germany did loose millions of citizens, and I'm pretty sure most weren't soldiers, so yes it did. Now if Iran gets what it wants, it will kill as many Jews as they did. If Iran nuked Israel G-d forbid, and we attacked back and millions of Iranians were killed but we in the end neutralize their nuclear bombs, would you celebrate?

Now since we know that Iran will do everything in its power to make a nuclear holocaust for Israel and America, it is as righteous to pray for their destruction, even now with all the "good" people still in it, as it would have been to pray for Germany's destruction when shitler YS"V came into power, and I can assure you there were a lot more "good" people there, Jews included especially, then there are in Iran now.

There's a certain amount of evil you have to accept to survive in an evil place. How many Jews are in Iran anyways? The intelligentsia is small in Iran, and many of them are normal, but the vast majority of Iranians outside from some of the Armenian xtian population are willing to go along with whatever evil the government does. As such, even if the supposedly righteous people suffer as well, and I also know some who fought heroically against the nazi government there, it's worth it that the rest of the world would survive.

I'm in good with the Iranian and Kurdish community. Kurdistan actually has a shot, which is another topic, but the Iranians who wanted to fight back are in the West, and in Iran they silently go along with whatever the government wants, or die.

I don't know. Just you saying that really put me in your point of view, because I do know very good Persians and it would be tragic that their loved ones died. We as individuals can hope that the people overthrow the nazi government and make a secular state, but as the leader of Israel, you're not allowed to rely on miracles, and any power one might have otherwise to bring about the destruction of Iran before nukes are launched (G-d forbid) has the obligation to do so.
