BELGRADE - A UN Security Council meeting to present Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's regular quarterly report on the situation in Kosovo will be held in New York on Friday.

Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić will participate in the meeting.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dačić will present Serbia's opinion on the work of UNMIK, the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija in the context of the recent elections in the province, and the situation concerning the return of internally displaced persons.

The Serbian foreign minister will also express Belgrade’s views regarding statements by special prosecutor Clint Williamson concerning ongoing investigations into allegations contained in Swiss Senator Dick Marty's report on torture and murder of persons of Serbian nationality in Kosovo for the purpose of trade in human organs.

According to Belgrade-based daily Večernje Novosti, Dačić will also call on the UN members to support the proposal of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to establish a special court that would be in charge of handling war crimes committed by the the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) "in 1999."
