Baruch Marzel in a hebrew article said , that Hasno had applied for a gun, but was turned down by the government

The idea that a gun might have saved Hasno's life is based on the assumption that he would not have gotten out of his car and would be less vulnerable to being run over by a truck if he had a gun.
I can't absolutely prove it but it seems logical.
