First of all, there was a time for upwards of 50 years when black women weren't allowed to compete in the Miss. America pageant. So the only recourse was to create a pageant where black women would be noticed for their beauty as well. It existed to give young black women in the black community a little more hope that they could be someone of importance in their futures. It exists today because scholarships are offered to the winners. So those who created the Miss. America pageant were racist because they didn't allow black women in. But not now. I don't see a reason for the Miss Black America Pageant to stop being televised, as long as they're not berating white women, I see no problem with it.

Were you born during or before the civil rights movement? If so you should be familiar with the fact that black students weren't allowed to study with white students at all. Scholarship funds had to be set up for black youth whose families couldn't afford to send them to college. It isn't racist to send someone who can't afford to go to school, to college.

Yes, statistically speaking, most blacks do all of that craziness, however, black people are more often than not profiled and targeted just because they're black in their own neighborhoods. If they're driving a nice car and happen to be black, they're pulled over because they 'fit the description' of someone who stole a similar car. Or because they're walking down the street with cornrows (braids) they 'fit the description' of someone who committed a crime on the other side of town. This isn't to say that guilty, evil blacks don't do this but racial profiling is poison.

But, you call us a racists.

Just for starters, think about these current and former members:

Former Louisiana State Senator David Duke, Current West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd, almost all governors of southern states beginning 1865 up through the 1950's, Alabama Governor Georce C. Wallace's Press Secretary (who also was the author of The Outlaw Josey Wales), U.S. President Harry Truman, almost all American FreeMasons from post Civil War times to the mid-20th Century, ...and the list goes on and on and on...

Not to mention how many current state and city law enforcement officials are members, and the very large number of the American population who sympathizes with their views.

In fact, the only way to seriously consider to what degree the Klan holds sway to political influence, is to weigh all of the like-minded groups together as one membership, one ideology, and one large influence:  Amren, Aryan Nations, KKK, Skinhead Groups, National Alliance, Christian Identity Movements, American Nazi Party, and the countless other groups which are all in essence one movement.

Robert Byrd wasn't KKK leader, only a member, who has now changed his views.  He simply joined it for anti-Communist reasons.  He's still popular today.

David Duke, however, still holds the same views today.  He was elected because he put all his money from his kkk days into his election campaign, and the entire "political force" nation wide all funneled their resources into one measly district.  When he ran for Governor and for Senator, he was smashed.

Think about this, all these kkk types could only take a little measly district, when they put an all out effort into it.  It took them a full out nationally coordinated effort for them just to win one tiny representative office.  Duke's approval rating was then in the 30's.
