The other thing that makes this incident particularly interesting is that he/she/it believes that men who identity as women should not be required to take testosterone suppressing hormones (let alone have gender reassignment surgery) in order to participate in women’s athletic competitions.

What if a "transgeder 'man'" took hormones to make her seem more masculine. That could be a way for them to get past the ban on performance enhancements drugs.

One day there will be a man who thinks he's a woman but wants to be a man. Then he will take steroids and be able to beat other men that don't take them. Anyone can claim that just like anyone can claim to be a woman and go in the women's bathroom. He can claim to be born a woman but wants to be a man even if he is one.

The Bible warns that the thinking of those who reject God will eventually become futile,  "Although they claimed to be wise,  they became fools". Romans 1:22.   the Bible says we are to resist evil instincts and sinful desires that war against your soul.   Fight the good fight of faith.   "The one who sows to please his sinful nature will reap destruction,  the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit, will reap eternal life."  Galations 6:8.   the Bible also says  a man is not to wear a woman's clothing.  Deuteronomy 22:5.

People 3000 years ago struggled with the same inner feelings and confusions,  suggesting that transgender desires are not newly invented impulses,   but they are definitely contrary to God's will,   just like homosexuality.    Sex change is biologically impossible.   The changes are  either more feminine or masculine,  but do not change from men to women or vice versa.  The DNA remains the same.   In reality mutilating the body is a mental disorder.
