Nuclear proliferation is going to destroy this planet.    Thats why Revelation 21 says.  "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,"  for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.  ("The world will be destroyed by fire the next time,  not water.)      I saw the Holy City,  the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautiful dressed for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people,  and he will dwell with them.  They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.    The earth as we know it will not last forever, but after God's great judgment, he will create a new earth.  God had also promised Isaiah that he would create a new eternal earth in Isaiah 65:17 and 66:22.   The sea is gone as well;  in John's time;  the sea was viewed as dangerous and changeable,  it was also the source of the beast Revelation 13:1.

All these nations who are creating nuclear weapons will be aggressive and power hungry, (its a competition because they have to compete with other nations acquiring nuclear weapons,)    a terrible scenario for the world,  because they are rogue dictators who are power hungry and hate Israel and America.  Man will have lost all rationality and sense.

If it became more stable than it ever has been as a nation and all the muslims agreed to not do terrorism, it would still be a life risk every second for all life.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of vile affections, and breaking God's laws.

Jude 1:7. "Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh,  different flesh,  are set forth an example,  suffering vengeance of eternal fire."     There were many reasons God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah,  homosexuality and strange practices were just a few of reasons.   They were also corrupt, and evil.   Strange flesh is flesh that is different than what is rightfully ours to claim for our spouses body.   Flesh that is forbidden by God for us to have.  It is flesh outside the bounds of God's laws;  hence the term sexual deviance,  to deviate from what is acceptable to God.

Genesis 19:24.  "Then Hashem rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from Hashem out of the heavens.   So He overthrew the cities,  all the plain,  all the inhabitants of the cities,  and what grew on the ground. 

No where else on earth is the sulphuric content found to be 98% pure sulfur, with measurable amounts of magnesium. Researchers found that other places in the world have 40% sulphur, but not the high content of the cities of the plain.

The blast was fire and brimstone.   Amazingly,  there are no other ancient ruined cities anywhere else on the planet covered with pure sulphuric balls with its ruins turned to ash.   When limestone turns to ash there must be very intense heat.   The limestone buildings of Sodom and Gomorrah could not have turned to ash with out very extreme heat from sulphur.    The white ash found at Gomorrah was tested and found to be calcium sulphate.   Calcium sulphate is the by product of limestone,  calcium carbonate, and sulphur burning together.   Therefore, the ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah prove that these cities were destroyed by burning sulphuric brimstone just like the Bible says.

"And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly."    2 Peter 2:6.

This reminds us of how we should be living in accordance with God's Commandments,  because this planet is going to be doomed to destruction for sin and the ways of man.

Nuclear proliferation and competition are going to lead to nuclear war,  Iran, Russia, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, are but a few players.     Because of Jerusalem's crucial role in the plan of God,  God's enemy Satan has launched a spiritual war against Jerusalem and the Jewish people.  Satan invests his energy in attacking what God loves, and Jerusalem and God's chosen people are prime targets.  Consequently, the Jewish people must constantly defend their historical connection to their beloved city.

The next time the world is destroyed,  it will be destroyed by fire.  Nuclear war will be certain.
