Gentiles are obligated to fulfill the Seven Noahide Commandments because they are the eternal command of God, transmitted through Moses our teacher in the Torah. The main and best book on details of Noahide observance is "The Divine Code" by Rabbi Moshe Weiner.

I understand some of the Serbian words, but the meaning confuses me. For example, nedjelja means Sunday in Croatian. Also, Croatian is jekavian and Serbian is ekavian. I have no idea how you guys differentiate ona sjedi (she sits) and ona sijedi (she is becoming greyhaired). Ona sedi and ona sedi?
 :)

Ona sedi and ona sedi- Difference is in accent if I used the correct word. She is becoming greyhaired- Ona sedi- we use longer E while when we says she sits, we use shorter E.

There is a regional ekavian language in Croatia called Kajkavian, and I never understand what the hell they are saying: Gdo se tako smeje tam, da to vet'r ni, pož'ščal visibabo je da jač ne zaspi. A po stoze nego gre i kolo škripi, to pelja metulj'k se, a sprege mu ni. Kam se vozi dečko mlad, kam mu se žuri, ah, deklica fijolica ke lepo diši!
 :::D
It is really hard to understand this language and it is funny as well. It could be similar to Slovenian.

I know that Kajkavian is similar to Old Slavic, the first written Slavic language. They both have different plural endings in the dative, locative and instrumental cases. By contrast, Serbian and Croatian have the same plural form in those cases.

They used to have "Serbo-Croatian" as the official language of Yugoslavia. There was a joke that only the Jews use it. Two former israeli chief of staffs were native serbo-croatian speakers.

The differences between Serbian and Croatian are obvious to any native speaker of either language:

1) Modern Croatian uses the Latin alphabet. Serbian uses the Cyrillic script in most cases.

2) Standard Croatian is jekavian: djevojka, svijet, bijesan, uvijek.
Standard Serbian is ekavian: devojka, svet, besan, uvek.

3) Consider the following sentences:

English: The train will leave the railway station at ten o'clock sharp.
Croatian: Vlak sa željezničkog kolodvora krenut će točno u deset sati.
Serbian: Voz sa železničke stanice krenuće tačno u deset časova.

Tommy Lapid came to Israel from former Yugoslavia. I heard he was a leftie and liberal. There was/is a kibbutz in Israel which was full of Yugoslav immigrants. I think it was kibbutz Gat.

He was a a provocative speaker. Politically he was a classic (namely not a repressive anti free speach type) left liberal.

The Chief of staffs I mentioned were Chaim Barlev and David Elazar.

I looked at the Wikipedia. David Elazar died young.
