What a complete P.O.S.  His mansion was surrounded by BLM chanting for him to 'defund the police', and now he's followed their orders.  That's all we needed, fewer cops.

Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti announced the city will be cutting approximately $150 million from the police department and transferring the funds to communities of color.

What could possibly go wrong?

Downtown Los Angeles has been under siege for the last several days from rioters and looters.

But Garcetti and city council officials claim cutting funding to the police department will help end racism.

TRENDING: Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti Will Cut $150 Million From LAPD Budget, Reinvest Money in Black Communities

Deadline reported:

Garcetti said he would be making commitments to creating racial equality. “It is time to move our rhetoric towards action to end racism in our city.”

He said the city must move beyond police reforms of the past. “Prejudice can never be part of police work…It takes bravery to save lives, too.”

“We will not be increasing out police budget,” said the mayor. That allocation is pegged at $1.8 billion in the mayor’s previously proposed budget.

Garcetti spoke of “reinvesting in black communities and communities of color.”

The mayor proceeded to announce $250 million in cuts to the proposed budget and to reallocate those dollars to communities of color, “so we can invest in jobs, in education and healing.” L.A. Police Commission President Eileen Decker then announced that $100 million-$150 million of those cuts would come from the police department budget.

“Today we introduced a motion to cut funding to the LAPD, as we reset our priorities in the wake of the murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter call that we all support to end racism. This is just one small step. We cannot talk about change, we have to be about change,” L.A. City Council President Nury Martinez said in a tweet.

Is it possible that some cities simply use this mob riots as an opportunity to decrease their police budget and liabilities?

No, he's a Jew.   I know all to well about this, and I know the synagogue he goes to.

His mother is Ashkenazi, and his father is a mix of Italian and Spanish, but he advertises himself to everyone as Mexican.

If his latino voter block is stupid enough to think he is one of them and for it to matter on whom they vote for, should we hold it against him for using this strategy?
