Whatever happend to self control, we are responsible for our own actions, we can blame the other person for wearing revealing clothes, but really WE are responsible for our own actions.

You're correct, but my statements are geared torward women who walk around like they're begging to have sex and most likely out of wedlock. If these women had morals, they'd realize that dressing like that is foolish and demeaning. Women do it, because they know most men like it. It's a very sad situation. A woman can't find any way else to attract a man then through her body. But men are to blame as well, because they only go after the women dressed this way. That's why so many women dress like this now. These women know they don't stand a chance of attracting a man, when you have all these other huahs walking around, so they realize they have to compete. It got like this, because of the US's lack of sound morals.

No offense to some of the people here and ultra-religious Jews, but the whole extreme-modesty enforcement thing sounds  a lot like some Sharia-s#it.  I'm with the secularists in this regard & can definitely understand anyone having an extreme aversion to religious policies that would enforce something like this in Israel.

I agree with you that there should not be a ban on them, but I think that we do have every right to cast shame and criticism over tasteless, prurient fashion trends. I don't see an analogy between ridiculing trashy dress and sharia.

what do you care if women dress that way to compete for men?

if a women is looking for a typical shmuck who watches porn and loves to go to strip bars and shove dollar bills up a strippers you know where, let em dress provacative...the only men they will attract that way are not really any prize anyways in my opinion.

I agree ridicule is fine, but in this case mostly a waste of time.
The concept of banning is something different.

At this time I gotta say I'm not sure which I find more repulsive: The overt over-sexuality of trashy women (and even queers) or the extreme modesty of the ultra-religious sharia types.

No by state (national) law which is too omnipotent already but by comunal law/social customs and traditions; However it must be  prohibited for old ugly fat women.

I don't think they should be banned. I'm not EVEN a belly shirt wearing woman, but I respect all womens' rights to wear what they wish, given that they can fit into it. I'm more for belly shirts than I would be for the head to foot number that muslim women wear.

Well if you respect all women's right to wear what they wish - then don't discriminate against the larger size people.  You don't like discrimination right?  
I have never been a large sized person - but I rarely wore a belly baring anything off of the beach.  As a mother - I wouldn't wear one now because I want my daughter to have respect for her body.  So exposing her skin - in a modest way - is reserved for the beach.  I dread when she gets a little older and tries to follow the trends.  Hopefully - we are headed back to a more modest style of dress - but I doubt it.

Then maybe I could restate that for myself because my response was discriminatory towards bigger women. Let's just say that I'm a big woman who wouldn't be caught dead in a shirt like that. Modesty really comes in the way you carry yourself. I know women who wear form-fitting clothing who just like the way it looks on them and aren't looking for a man to admire it. But then again, I know some women who wear the tightest clothes imaginable because they feel that's the way you get and keep a man in your life.

*I haven't worn a swimsuit in years, not even a full one, but that's because I have issues. lol Its no one's fault. However, I have ALL girls. I have a 16 year old who is into babydoll shirts and a soon to be 16 year old who is into tiny shirts that show off her form and short skirts. Its really easy to dictate to them in the house not to wear certain things for the sake of not giving out or recieving the wrong energy. But it's totally another story when they can leave the house in what you tell them to wear, go to their friends' house before the school bus arrives and changes into one of their friends' belly shirts/ or outfits. My other girls don't have this problem though, and its because they've been around me a lot longer than  my 15 year old. I dress fairly modest. I LOVE long skirts, but I also love short skirts which stop 3 inches above my knee. Flattering but not over the top.

Children can certainly bring on the grey hairs...I dread how grey I'll be when she reaches those years.

I was told, years ago that having grey hairs was a sign of wisdom.

Loose fitting and covering clothes are a lot cooler to wear in the heat then, tight shorts or t-shirts. A lot of skin cancer and damage from UV rays is increasing these days since a lot of people are exposed. The sun is the greatest danger to skin.

It's just indecent. The purpose of wearing a shirt is to cover up your midsection. Your belly button shouldn't be exposed. Women need to have decency, and if we had a sense of morality in this country, there would be none of this. This only started to happen when the US started losing its morals in the liberal-minded '60's.

Well.. if a female is shaped well, it doesn't bother me (well, jealousy sets in if they're attractive), but I doubt I would want my daughter to be dressed like that, so I'm a bit split on this subject. Although I think females are much more attractive when dressed conservatively but still show their figure.
