I don't think DeSantis should commit to pardoning anyone, he should just say the law will be applied equally on both sides, and he will pardon anyone who was unfairly targeted on a case by case basis.  He would definitely pardon some political prisoners.

I think at one time he said something like you should be treated the same under the law whether you are a former President or Secretary of State.  I could be wrong, but I took that to mean it's possible that Biden, Trump, and Hillary could all be locked up.
