My opinion, he's ashamed of Israel and embarrassed of being a Jew because deep down every antisemitic trope that was ever invented in Christian Nazi Europe he believes in his poisoned galut brain. His father was probably the same.

Think he's Ashkenaz. He grew up in NYC from an orthodox family and said he went Greek for several years and worked on Wall St made a ton of money and realized that it didn't make him any happier of fulfilled so went back to his roots and became a Rabbi.

I have a lot of issues with Rabbi Reuven...  Yes -- he's a Litvak wannabe, who often mispronounces words which demonstrates his humble roots and beginnings.  He also often misquotes maxims and provides the wrong source for them eventhough he claims to always provide sources.  He professes to be "anti-Zionist" but claims he supports Israel because the Jews live there (nevermind that if not for the State of Israel, his family's chances in the Arab country he's from would not have been good, to say the least!).

That said -- there's a reason why he's popular.  Chabad is in a decline and has been now for a while.  He's seen as the frontman or hatchetman if you will to come and do what the Litvaks don't want to do -- and that is roast the charlattans out there like Ben Shapiro, Manis Friedman, etc...  On the whole, is he good for kids who listen to his show?  Yes, absolutely.  He promotes abstinence, speaks against usury, rebukes liberal "Rabbis", and attacks missionaries.  Is Tovia Singer perfect?  No, Chaim himself has said that Tovia Singer is sick for having been a Rabbi in Nazi Indonesia!

With regard to Noahides...  I agree with Zachary Strong (who is a Noahide who does not want to convert).  Zachary is a brilliant young scholar on Youtube and his reason for not converting is that "the Jews are busy enough with their own problems and we should leave them alone".  His is the attitude that Noahides are an enrmous burden on the Jewish community -- and he's right.  On the flipside of things, I think that maybe 99% of people out there will fail at Noahidism without conversion.  Zachary is an exception.  You need to have a cold temperment and a very blessed intellect to be able to resist all the impurities out there without practicing the obligatory Jewish rituals which are meant to protect one from said impurities.

As far as I know, I am the one who made this forum aware of Zachary. I happen to think he is too lenient on Reuven.
