Porn is just another weakness that G-d wants us to overcome. Just we have to overcome not working on Shabbat, so too we have to overcome porn and a primal obsession with women.

I'm scared to know what happens to 7 or 8 year old boys who come across an XXX video with actual fornication and all that other adult jazz.

You should be scared...its not good.

This is an unprecedented problem in our society.  Young boys are losing their innocence and becoming psychologically damaged because of porn.

This issue is HIGHLY underrated.

Can you explain to me how young boys are traumatized by seeing adult porno at such young ages?

I can tell you that at the age of innocence..age of 3-5 years old, if littel boys and little girls grow up together, they WILL be curious about each others' private parts and do their little thing of showing it off...It's not clean, but it happens a lot.  This isn't pornography though.

I don't think pornography is damaging for someone who's 13 or 14 though.  If I didn't have porn when I was a young-un, I don't know what I would have done.  I probably would have sought out lots of girls and I probably would have gotten in trouble somehow.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I agree with Zeev, but not 100%...The truth is, it depends on how easy it is for a young teenage boy to get girls versus the shyer ones with less self-esteem.

In as much as it isn't Kosher..i dont' think...it is normal.

And i hate to say this, but some married couples do use porno as a means of education and other things to spice up their sex life...even though that's not kosher either, it is done in the privacy of the home...

Porn: One person sexually stimulating themselves
The alternative? Fonication of the highest order. Were the pornography business to be regulated more, I would have no problem. Nudity is nothing to hide and taboo, it is natural

Nudity is natural but the type of sex that goes on in porn definitely isn't natural.  It shows people that they can have easy relations with people like in porn, and it's no problem, but to be honest, I don't think that people need to get that from porn, I think they get that from their liberal sexual morality.

The idea that pornography turns everyone into sex crazed, sexually immoral people is false.  There are plenty of people out there who watch pornography who don't have sex with random people and who cherish women, marriage, and the importance that sexual intercourse be with one who you love.

I think the evil that pornography creates is less than the evil it avoids.  Think about what it would be like if there was no pornography.  We would have lots of pent-up sickos prowling the streets and preying on young girls and children to fulfill their sexual fantasies.  We would have more taking advantage of young women, more rapes, more date-rapes, etc.  I would much rather have some 50 year old pervert watching a video with an 18 year old in it than prowling colleges looking to take advantage of a naive girl.

In as much as I agree, this isn't necessarily true.

However, you would agree that pornography and nudity today needs to be a little more regulated...I know that there is a happy medium of having just enough but not too much.

I would also have to say that when the population is not growing fast enough, pornography and sexual liberalism would be at an increase. However, if the population were growing too fast, the opposte would need to take place.

The same argument applies to prostitution.

It is better to have dirty old men fulfilling their needs in legal brothels with consenting adults than prowling the school zones or peeping in peoples windows.

School zone prowlers are sick enough to prowl whether there's a legal whore house or not.

I mean that if some ugly/ socially inadequate person has no release (in a legal brothel) they'll seek that release in the easiest way........ie: in school zones, colleges etc.

Some people satisfy hebophilic or pedophilic fantasies in brothels by having the prostitutes dress in school uniforms, little girl dresses etc. Sick/ perverted?.....Yes. However, do you want those people sating their lusts out in the real world?

I agree with Newman and Zeev on this; as Augustine said: Any good regulated city needs good severs and good brothels; even acording to Tanath they were whores in Judea and Israel some prophet even was commanded to marry one; all this arguments about stds; crime and women abuse; are even more  on mark with illegal prostitution.
Jeremiah 8:11-17

11 They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. Peace, peace, they say, when there is no peace.

12 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the LORD.

13 'I will take away their harvest, declares the LORD. There will be no grapes on the vine. There will be no figs on the tree, and their leaves will wither. What I have given them will be taken from them.'

14 Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the LORD our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.

15 We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there was only terror.

16 The snorting of the enemy's horses is heard from Dan; at the neighing of their stallions the whole land trembles. They have come to devour the land and everything in it, the city and all who live there.

17 See, I will send venomous snakes among you, vipers that cannot be charmed, and they will bite you, declares the LORD.

Exactly!

Legal brothels can be regulated to maintain health standards and keep crime figures out of the industry. Making prostitution illegal has NEVER illiminated it, just driven it underground into the hands of gangsters and corrupt officials. This is when STDs, criminality, drugs and abuse take hold.
