Dan, around two minutes after you started this thread, I started a thread on the same topic. I didn't see your thread until after starting mine.
In answer to your question, I'm disappointed that Mike Huckabee isn't running. And I'm very concerned that the Republicans have a candidate who can realistically defeat Barack Hussein Obama. At this time, our best chance is for people to be fed up with Obama to the extent that they will choose the Republican even if that candidate is far from ideal. Our focus might have to be 90 % or more on exposing Obama, compared to promoting the Republican Candidate. The next few months will give us a better idea where things stand. Right now, I'm not optimistic.

It's a sad development... Huckabee might have made a good president... In the past few years I think many Americans saw Huckabee on his TV show and got to like him... I know I did...He seems like a person that might try to do whats best for the American people... I guess he did not want to go through another primary run running against other candidates that would win against him in the primary but lose to the shvartza President in the General election... The next 4 years would be a very hard presidency for a new president anyway and I think this on top of all else might have made Huckabee say no... I think it's important for our group to move on because we all know what the next 4 years of the shvartza Presidency will bring.

Unless you could make yourself an overnight sensation the process would require years of running for smaller office or some other thing to gain some name recognition... The major stumbling block is getting the required number of signatures to get on the ballot... The next major stumbling block would be raising enough money to get anywhere... I am sure there is more to the process then this but this is the basics...

This is one issue I disagree with Chaim on... While I understand Chaim's reasons for his position I personally would love to see true conservative Jews running for office... I think Just Mo is asking about the process in general ... I think he knows how Chaim feels about the issue.

Pastor Manning has shown our movement respect and there are issues we could possibly work together on... Lets not toss out the baby with the bath water over one issue posted in some video... As far as viable GOP candidates go its still early in the game... Lets see what develops.

It is important to beat Obama and it is also important to elect a candidate who will not pressure Israel. Huckabee had both qualities.
We are left with a field of phonies and wannabe's who probably have no shot to beat obama. (Palin, for one, has no chance, as the polls show). Not only that, but most of them probably would pressure Israel to commit suicide.

Apparently he thinks it's really funny that my people (and his, if he weren't so self hating) are going to be a minority and that we should be agents in our own destruction by welcoming third worlders to the USA with open arms to soothe some kind of white guilt he has been infected with over the snivel rights movement. I could never really want a candidate like that. It's true some of the things he said about Israel were very good, but you expect me to overlook the rest of what he said? I do care about the good people in Israel but you know the government over there is just as corrupt as ours is and it will take real change inside of Israel itself before they can stand up to international pressure from the USA or elsewhere.

How should I feel about self-hating whites or Christians who think selling out their own family and giving the resources to an invading force is somehow a 'Christian' thing to do? I'm sorry but Huckabee is nowhere near right wing enough for me. Why can't we get a good candidate that is both pro-Israel and good for the USA?

I haven't seen anyone right wing enough for me. Everyone that's right wing enough I've been told 'has no chance of being elected'. I think that's sickening that we can't get a real right wing candidate in office that's not going to sell out the majority and attempt to replace it with a new majority by 2042 or sooner.
I won't get back into the evolution debate unless you want to, but if you have a real challenge to the theory then please feel free to start a thread on it and I will rise to the challenge of answering your questions if I can and if I don't know the answer then I will try to find out.

As far as Pastor Manning and the 9-11 issue goes I can't help but laugh at how some people think we at JTF and a black minister from Harlem could possibly agree on every issue... Pastor Manning has shown our movement respect and there are issues we could possibly work together on... Lets not toss out the baby with the bath water over one issue posted in some video... As far as viable GOP candidates go its still early in the game... Lets see what develops.

Bad news!! As for what I could research, his views on economics are those of "Austrians" which I support. Also, he was supporting Israel, and with that probably us Serbs. I happen to find interesting fact that anti-Jewish politicians also hate the Serbs with a passion.
It is interesting that Serbs born in America usually become leftists who vote for the candidates that would cut our throats.

Huckabee has shrunk from challenge. The cowardly relief he gleefully expresses shows that he doesn't have what it takes to defeat Obama and to be America's next president. He has let his supporters down. He says that G-d spoke to him. My foot ! The simple truth is that he is a loser.

While I would have supported Mike Huckabee if he ran for President, a major concern of mine was whether he would have been willing to go after Hussein Obama in a manner that would have led to Huckabee being ripped to pieces by the media. If one combines Huckabee's positions with Donald Trump's willingness to be politically incorrect, that would have been a terrific candidate.
