Girl assaulted by internet 'friends'
Two 20-year-old Sydney men have been arrested over the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl they allegedly met on a social networking website.
Police say the girl met with a man she had been chatting to on the internet for about two weeks about 8:00pm (AEST) last Saturday.
He and another man drove the girl to a park in Earlwood, in the city's south, where they allegedly sexually assaulted her in the car.
Police say they then dropped her off about 9:00pm at a nearby railway station.
Officers have been investigating the matter since it was reported on Monday.
They say they arrested the 20-year-olds in searches on houses at Earlwood and Clempton Park just after 7:15am today.
Police seized computers in both houses and a hatchback from near the Clempton Park house.
One of the men has been charged with aggravated sexual assault. He is expected to face Bankstown Local Court this afternoon.
The other is still being questioned at Burwood Police Station.
Police say the incident serves as a reminder to exercise extreme caution when meeting people online.
