I was going to comment on this exact same thing, Masterwolf. I happened to run into the article about an hour ago while looking for an article for my final. I laughed my head off.

I really don't give a flying fig what they name a hurricane, just as long as they tell me where its going to hit. All of this "HURRICANES NEED BLACK NAMES" crud is really crazy. With all of the other problems in the world, I'm very surprised that this even made headlines. EVEN over the missing GI's articles. I'll say it again, this is crazy. That black woman who is the Democrat leading the fight to have hurricanes named after black people is rediculous.

There shouldn't be a friggen policy on whether we should give trendeigh names to hurricanes. I don't care WHAT they name hurricanes, as long as they let us know where its going to hit so that people can evacuate safely.

Sidebar, I know the racial ramifiacations of naming the hurricanes after black people...I guess since some of America are afraid of blacks, in general, naming them Hurricane Tyrone, Antoine, or Mufasa (for that matter) would make it seem as though the hurricane is so dangerous it could kill you. I don't like the way that looks. But on the other hand, would you run as fast if the name of a forthcoming hurricane was "Hurricane Christine" or "Tropical Storm Peter"? lol Something to ponder.

This stupid idea was started by congressafricanus shirley lee jackson, a moron who asked when the mars rover was traveling around mars could it take a picture of the land rover that landed there. The moron did not have enough sense to realize that the land rover was on the moon. It is sad, but she is considered to be at the top of the black intelligensia. A typical reason that when you see an african taking a position at where you work, you always see them as 'director of diversity', 'community relations', 'vice president of minority recruitment', 'diversty application manager' etc. etc. They are completely hopeless.

First of all, I'm not FROM Bed Sty. I'm from Robert Taylor in Chicago. They're gone now (the buildings)but when I was younger there were dad's in the home until divorce insued or it never got to the point of marriage. Children being born out of wedlock isn't the fault of the child but a flaw on the parents for not critically thinking before doing the deed.
