This week as almost every week there were dozens of terror attacks of varying severity not reported in most major media outlets. We report on these silenced events to present a fuller picture of the reality in Israel and balance the picture presented to innocent readers abroad. We hope that by reporting these incidents we can raise awareness so that actions can be taken to rectify this problem and improve reality in the Jewish State.

This past week (Jan. 1st- Jan. 7th) there were over 180 attacks recorded in the ‘Silent Intifada’ updates on Hakol Hayehudi. Two Jews were murdered in these attacks and 18 were injured.

The attacks included shootings, stabbings, and a number of incidents of stone throwing, firebombs, and IEDs.

In a shooting by an Arab from Wadi Ara in Tel Aviv on Friday Jan. 1st, two Jews, Alon Bakel and Shimon Raimi HY”D, were murdered. Eight others were injured in the shooting. The attacker fled the scene and as of the writing of this article has not yet been found. His father and several brothers have been suspected of assisting in his escape.

Besides for the shooting in Tel Aviv, there were three additional shootings. Last Saturday night Arabs opened fire at a vehicle near the tunnels leading to Gush Etzion. In Hevron a female soldier was moderately injured after being shot near the Tomb of the Patriarchs and in Har Hevron, another soldier was injured from gunfire by Arabs.

Three stabbings took place this week in Armon Hanatziv in Jerusalem, on Derech Bar Lev in Jerusalem, and at Gush Etzion Junction.

There were six attempted attacks where the perpetrators were neutralized before they could harm anyone. These occurred in the Yatir forest, at Behad 3 Junction, at Tapuach Junction, near Beit Hadassah in Hevron, at Gush Etzion Junction, and near Beit Umar.

Hezbollah forces placed an explosive device near IDF forces on the Lebanon border, but did not cause injuries. Arabs from Gaza fired a rocket on Friday at Jewish towns in the South.
