Donald Trump is “all over the map” on “life issues,” and will have difficulty appealing to voters “trying to raise their children in a tough culture,” House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Tim Huelskamp said Sunday.

In an appearance on “Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace,” the conservative Kansas lawmaker decried the party’s presumptive presidential nominee as “demeaning” to women,” “crass” and “vulgar.”

“There are millions of soccer moms, football dads, baseball dads across America, and they’re trying to raise their children in a tough culture,” he said.

“I have a 9-year-old and he can’t even listen to the guy on television. … I’ve got a 14-year-old son. I would never let him say the things Donald Trump says — and I think that will show up in people’s minds between now and November. And those moms and dads who like his opposition to Common Core … are worried about his statements about women.”

Huelskamp said issues “of the heart like issues of life and marriage and family” are “clear in our party platform.”

“He is all over on all the issues and that’s a problem with the platform, that’s a problem on basic life issues and certainly on marriage issues, this bathroom issue he is all over the map on — folks are looking for some certainty and you don’t see that in the positions of Donald Trump,” he charged.

Trump, he added, is too flexible.

“When he says he’s flexible — I see insiders in Washington…say, ‘hey, it’s good to see flexibility.’ That’s exactly what the people don’t want,” he said. “”They want someone who takes a stand.”

“But on basic issues of life you can’t win as a Republican in this country unless you’re 100 percent pro-life in my opinion,” he declared. “If you don’t stick with the party platform and what I’m hearing from the Trump campaign is they’re flexible on issues of life as well. And that to me is going to be very damaging to the millions of values of voters.”
