I wish I had a thanksgiving dinner.   :(

Mostly everyone went home and Hillel was closed so the only real option was to make Thanksgiving dinner just for myself and that seemed like too much work.   I pretty much just studied all day.  :-[  One of my friends said he'd bring some leftovers back for me though.   O0

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
"The Jews will eventually have to face up to what you're dealing with here.  The arabs will never love you for what good you've brought them.  They don't know how to really love.  But hate!  Oh, G-d, can they hate!  And they have a deep, deep, deep resentment because you have jolted them from their delusions of grandeur and shown them for what they are-a decadent, savage people controlled by a religion that has stripped them of all human ambition . . . except for the few cruel enough and arrogant enough to command them as one commands a mob of sheep.  You are dealing with a mad society and you'd better learn how to control it."

Happy Thanksgiving Ze'ev!
I hope you enjoy the leftovers - I usually don't like leftovers but on Thanksgiving I do - sometimes more then the meal.

You will be rewarded, in the future, for all the hardwork and sacrifices you are making now   :)

I did.  It was an interesting experience.  We went to a friend's house we didn't know all that well.  Over dinner, I asked what everyone was thankful for.  There was kind of a confused silence.  I said I was thankful to live in a great country, that our country is still on the map, that I am in good health, etc.

After that suddenly everyone spoke up and said similar things.  I think people forget sometimes how much we have to be thankful for.

I just returned from a nice Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I can understand and respect Chaim's perspective. But this is something that gives my family a nice opportunity to get together, plus they depend on me to come. I don't attach any religious significance to it. It's just something we've always done and still continue to do for the sake of family and FOOOOOOOOD!!!

Man oh man, you guys have GOT to try the apple pie from Cosco! It's astounding!!!

not to mention the pecan pie from Costco.

But I'll have to just say that I'm glad that American Jews celebrate this good natured holiday. I have to disagree with Chaim even though he has a good point about Jews practicing American holidays. Factually he's correct, but somethign doesn't feel right about what he says.

In 1500, the Polish Treasury books make reference to hussars. Early on, they were foreign mercenaries, and were called Racowie from "Rascia" a word meaning "of Serbia." They came from the Serbian state of Ras."

Yes, I did! It's an opportunity for most of our family to come together since we don't live all close by... It's great!

But why choose to live so far apart from the family?

I have a question for everyone, do you think the British people will ever wake up and say what is with this Royal Family garbage and why are we paying this bunch of nobody's so much money each year just to wear a crown and wave.

Not only that but for her grandson and his girlfriend to go nightclubbing everynight.

The Brits find Americans cheesy when it comes to Thanksgiving. Well, most do.
The Brits are in no position to be judges of what is cheesy. They have become a second rate country and people. They have sold their a-s to the muslims and every other scum that has invaded their country. How can a day set aside to give thanks be cheesy? Why would you say something like that? Its really disgusting to see what envy will make people say. The English only give America respect when they come around sniffing for help. Your statement about Americans made me loose a lot of respect for you Sarah. I ignored it at first but it seems you plan to run with the ball and continue on about it.

Because that is what British people feel. Honest.

The English are jealous of America because of what it has become. It is the most powerful country in the world. Britain used to hold that title with its empire. Now it doesn't because...you know why.

Ah Yes Vlad the Impailer...aka Vlad Ţepeş cel Wallachia/ cel Drǎculea!!!!! He was great! I love Romania and he was a prime example of Euorpeans fighitning back the HORRIBLE Turks who would have taken over, made dhimmies out of Rumanians and raped the land! He wasa good leader, whowas betrayed by the noble class.

Anywho, even though I don't like Thanksgiving, I had to go to my borther and sister-in-law's home to have dinner. It's always done Egyptian style with tabouli and we had lamb shanks. yey  :(

I loved it when Vlad nailed the hats onto the heads of the muSSlim emmisaries! LOL!!!

You gotta LOVE that guy. :)
