Chaim, thanks for the insight on David Brickner and Larry Kroon. I did not know who these individuals were, really, and I did not know that they were anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist. I just figured they were of the sort that wants all of humanity to believe in Jesus. You raise a very good point here: a huge percentage of evangelical Christianity--about half--is, tragically, of the abominable "replacement theology" bent which, as you point out, teaches that Jews are no longer chosen and blessed, and in practice often supports every imaginable evil deed that can possibly fall on Jewry.
That is not at all what the N.T. actually teaches--Paul teaches that both Christians and Jews are the Chosen People (he uses the metaphor of wild branches [Christians] being grafted onto an olive tree [Jews]). I know that as a Jew, you do not have personal use for Christian theology, and I don't mean to missionize, but while on this matter this subject was worth clarifying. Yimach schmo to Brickner and Kroon.
