Hi ag337, thank you very much. I woke up this morning feeling gloomy myself and I asked my husband to take me to the beach.
We spent 2 hours there and I needed it so badly. I get caught up with the World events and sometimes it is too much for me to bear.
I am glad you enjoyed the photograph.

Laguna Beach is beautiful. I love it there. I go there sometimes to clear my mind, I find it less crowded than many of the other Southern California beaches, especially during the week.

Beautiful picture! Thanks so much for sharing. I agree, going to the beach is a great help in getting your mind off world events and all this sadness we see every day. I am in awe EVERY DAY of what I see here where I live and can't believe how many people take this for granted. Hope you got some peace and relaxation at the beach!

Hi Arksis...I did have a relaxing morning at the beach. Amazing how 2 hours at the ocean and fresh air can be so beneficial.
It is good to know you also appreciate nature and the little things in life, this is so important and you are right, many people
don't take the time to ( smell the roses ) so to speak.
I think I should make time for these getaways a little more often. Our world is so messed up right now I feel like I am going crazy!
So we go crazy from seeing the world falling apart...then we go crazy again from the happenings in our own lives.

G-d bless you too Elizabeth! So glad to hear you could finally relax, even if only for 2 hours. And yes, you SHOULD make time for these getaways more often. You'll still appreciate them and look even more forward to them. I love summer here and soooooooooo look forward to my time just watching and listening all around me. Hi C.F. Thanks for the compliment on my poerty. I don't think I would classify it as lovely, but it was certainly some befitting thoughts about this evil woman.
I have 2 awards for my poerty and some of my poems were published. Each poem I write is different. Some of my poetry is quite simple
and some is more elaborate, it depends on how I feel and if I am motivated or not. I am currently working on a poem about the Holocaust
and I do not know when it will be complete. The poem I wrote about that Nazi who is trying to destroy Israel took me five minutes to make up.
You actually gave me the idea to write it...you mentioned the seagulls pecking her eyes out, so I took it from there and had a little fun with it!
Hey, thanks for the idea.

Poetry is therapy for the Soul. Often times it allows us to endure the sorrows that life has to offer through words.
I am sure some other poets would agree with me.
