An event that can gain support
« on: August 03, 2010, 08:08:00 PM »
I had a debate recently with a Mexican who was in support of illegal immigration. I explained to him how I was not against Mexican immigrants coming here but was against the bottom of the pile coming here. Even though he did not outright say that I was right, I got the feeling that he kind of agreed with the points that I presented to him. One of the things I brought up was that when they hold rallies, they resort to looting and vandalism. I explained that something more along the lines of community service such as a blood drive would make a better statement. Afterwards, I thought, what can we do to convince outsiders? I'm not sure what the Halucha is about blood drives, but wouldn't it be a great statement to be able to say "our cause is saving lives, do you want to join us?". If not a blood drive, what else can we do to make a positive statement of action?
Does it bother you that you have to face the dome and the rock to say the sh'ma?
