I see. So a bit of respect for Christians will not be a bad idea as you are a foreigner in a Christian country.
Canada is secular, so is the USA, but this is the internet. There are pro-American facebook pages that I am on, as well as Canadian conservative pages. On those pages, there are a hundred posts daily that are overt missionary activity, and I do not show respect or disdain, I simply do not participate in those discussions. On Jewish pages, I debate every religion I feel like.
As for people themselves, respect is something any dog can learn, I do my best to show kindness. Ideologies that I believe are wrong are things that I do not respect, and nowhere in Torah does it say to do so, I'm much more worried about what Hashem thinks of me than what people do. People who identify with an ideology may misperceive that as a lack of respect towards them, which is unfortunate. Having grown up in a cult that brainwashes people and destroys their identity, usually mentioned side-by-side with Scientology in cult studies, I know what that is like.
This is a Jewish page with a focus on Israel. Rubystars is well within her bounds to post and discuss this, because the forum also deals with the issue of American survival, and while I am not of the opinion that this relates to that, my opinion does not rule this forum, and she can discuss whatever she thinks is a threat to her nation with like-minded people. I respect her right to do so, and I'll exercise my right not to participate directly in the issue. The focus of the forum is matters of survival of Israel and the Jewish people, and posting topics that relate to that will get you the most response.
