I'M BACK FOR THE CAUSE.

I should start with a HUGE and sincere thanks to all of you who supported me.Forgive me for not mentioning you all by name. Unfortunately I'm a blue collar ignoramus (and a thick-headed Irish/ Aussie yob) and would probably leave one or two names out just through oversight and I don't want to upset my closest friends. But I've seen every post and read every PM and you know who you are. THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart. It was REALLY moving even for a hard case like me.

Some of you know the exact reason that I had decided to leave. Some are still in the dark or have the wrong idea. I'm not going to post a long-winded, blow-by-blow acount of what happened but I'll be happy to PM (or e-mail) a full explaination to anybody who cares to ask. But that's where it will rest. I'M NOT HERE TO WHITE ANT THIS FORUM OR MOVEMENT. Admins can do what they like to me but I'll NEVER deliberately undermine ANY Jewish cause.

I must admit to doing something silly early this morning (US time). When I saw that my 'wings' had been removed, I flew into a spiteful rage and started erasing my posts starting from day 1 and working forward. I only managed about 100 before I heeded the pleas of a good friend and went to bed. I'm glad I did. On reflection, what are wings other than an icon on a computer screen? What really matters to me is the sentiment and esteem of my fellow JTFers that  those wings represented. If some petty admin wants to be an even bigger twit and make a unilateral decision to remove them, so what? Nobody can take away the sentiment behind them. That's what really counts!

All this bring us to the admin concerned...........

jeff, do your worst. It's overwhelmingly clear to me how much friendship and support I have among the other JTFers. Next to their friendship, your opinions, thoughts, views or actions regarding me don't amount to a thimble full of spit. So if it gives you some perverse pleasure, knock yourself out.......remove my 'wings'. Then take them (along with your threats, PMs and quotes) and put them somewhere appropriate.

I think that Newman deserves to be praised for placing the cause above any personal anger or disputes. And I do believe that he is sincere in loving this cause and this movement. The fact that Newman is willing to put aside his personal concerns for the greater good sets an example for all of us.

Newman has contributed greatly to this forum. The vast majority of his posts are wise, intelligent, interesting and often very humorous.

However, I must disagree with Newman's criticism of Jeffguy. I'm sure that Newman would concede that we all owe Jeffguy a huge debt of gratitude for saving this forum when it was attacked by the Peace Now traitors.

I am not able to go into detail about the dispute between Newman and Jeffguy, because we have to protect the privacy of both. And I frankly wouldn't want to rehash the same old arguments even if Newman and Jeffguy gave me the permission to do so. But I have no doubt that all of Jeffguy's actions were aimed at helping the forum and the movement. I also believe that Newman did not think that his more controversial posts were doing any harm. We simply had a major difference of opinion here between two great people.

Newman and Jeffguy are both sincere idealists whose main goal is to help make this a better world. They are both wonderful JTF activists. For this reason, I am confident that these two great JTFers will be able to work together.

Welcome home, Newman! We certainly missed you!

I think you should fully understant that the purpose and nature of this movement are not limited by the three letters that abbreviate the official name of this group.

I think you should also understand that people who gather under the roof of this movement do not in any way become higher or lower in their status by gaining wings, tails and medals.

I think you truly understand that in any argument between two or more people, that is right who, not higher, but closer to the objective truth formulated by the word of G-d.

I think you and all of us should follow a clear and specific form of conduct: serve G-d and work with those who serve G-d as well.

I am convinced that JTF is not and should never be a hierarchical organization, and thus any conflict between two or more people who serve the same ideals should be treated as misunderstanding followed by mutually-respectful clarification of the matter.

I just wanted to encounter the big elephant in the room who has remained silent about this.  jeffguy, we love you, you're amazing.  Don't take this the wrong way, there was a disagreement and now the two people involved understand and now we can move on, hopefully.  This isn't about supporting either jeffguy or newman, this is about supporting jeffguy AND newman AND supporting JTF and EVERYONE at JTF.
