Who here does excersize on a normal basis? Whether it is swimming, running, walking, jogging or the gyms.
-
Not anymore. I'm studying 24/7 for the next 2 weeks.
-
Ok, with the exception of the studying, whenever you or anyone gets a chance look at this
http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/homeworkout/homeworkout.html
I looked into this and also Googled for those who want to work out in their privacy of their own home instead of paying for gyms cause I know that gyms can be expensive.
-
It's quite simple, 100 pressups, 100 situps, 100 squats everynight, then there's the judo sessions I goto as well.
-
Somehow, I don't see men being into exercise videos, but I do them. I recommend the older FIRM workouts (pre 1985). They consist of aerobics and weight training. Granted, the female instructors in the tapes look and act like sexy Stepford Wives, but the workouts are very challenging. Here are some of my favorites:
Volume 1 - Body Sculpting Basics with Susan Harris
Volume 2 - Low Impact Aerobics with Janet Jones
Volume 3 - Aerobic Interval Training Taught by Sandahl Bergman
Volume 5 - Taught by Jaynee Poteet
Firm Cardio - Taught by Heidi Tanner
Firm Strength - Taught by Pam Cauthen

I workout at worlds gym at most gyms you can get a starters deal.I went through the article and that is how i began working out doing many push ups, sit up,or better yet cruches, pull ups chin ups leg raises, squat thrusts and running after about a year of doing that i decided to join a gym, that was yrs ago .But just to be in good shape you don'nt need a gym
-
Hello friends, and good day to you.
I go to the gym about 4-5 times a week, and enjoy healthy eating.
-
30 minutes of Ba-gua-zhang per day.
-
I play tennis and badminton 3 times a week and have to walk everywhere i go, since the shvartza bus drivers kick me off the bus because i don't have a photocard.

I don't know if this would be considered exercise but I do hours of work each week around the old homestead. This place would give a crew of Mexicans a workout. Between this and work I have managed to stay in decent shape.
-
Cjd whats a homestead?
-
I play hockey a couple times a week. Does that count?
-
I love hockey but to watch it lol. It maybe the only sport left that isn't filled with Zulus unless they come up with a heated hockey rink.

Yeah, although I actually had a coach once who was a Shvartza. He constantly used the word "knucklehead" (or "nukuwheeead," as he would say it) and would quite often hit my helmet before I'd go off the bench. It kinda hurt...

haha  It probably doesn't hurt as much as being hit with a hockey ball- begins with p but forgot the precise name.

I believe the word you're looking for is puck. And luckily, that coach and these two twins (whom I both haven't seen in a while, B"H) are the only ones of them I've ever seen at the rink I play at.

IM a great hockey player. I was captain of my high school JV team in 10th grade. After that grade I quit playing hockey for my school. I play softball, and Basketball. This year I am captain of both. I led the softball team in homeruns, and RBIs. Playing sports is a great thing, it is fun, and keeps the body in shape. Its much better than sitting in front of a computer, or Tv set.

I walk 30 minutes every night to work, and started Krav Maga lessons 2X a week.

I always end up in goal, without any protection kit and a stick that is shorter then the length of my arm......I use my feet most of the time.

Nope, he was a Schvartza alright. And, not that I want to bring out anyone's inner FOTL, but he was also married to a white woman (she was Jewish, too). Their son Donovan even played on the team.

She was jewish too, as in, as well as her schvartza husband or were you just emphasizing on the fact that she was not only white but Jewish?:)
Sorry, i just haven't heard of many Jewish black people.

No, I was emphasizing the fact that she was not only white, but Jewish. I've seen a lot of Reformed Black "Converts" to Judaism but very few real ones (besides the Ethiopian Jews of course).
-
ETHIOPIANS PLAYING HOCKEY !! :o
He must have been more frustrated than one of his legless BROS watching a nice Donut roll down a Hill ! :P
-
No, I was saying he wasn't Ethiopian. Hence, not a Jew.
-
Whatever he was keep him out of the Hockey Rink !! I'm sure he'll be much better off being promoted to the head Janitor position in Harlem ! ;D

Actually he was a jail warden (I know - surprising - you'd think he be in jail, not the warden of it).
-
You need to understand the ways of the convicts before you can tackle them. :)
-
Only People of Honor should be Jail Wardens ! :-*

If/When I exercise I do videos. Usually Tae Bo.

Not really, Im one of those nauseating people who eats and never gains weight (ducks because I know people are throwing things:P) I am grateful to have been blessed with good genes, my mom looks great at 59, and is still around the weight she was in her 20s (and thats after 3 kids, with my brother being 13 lbs at birth..ouch!) I do swim if I get the time, but no structured exercise.

My sister's like that. She eats 7 times a day and stays under 55 kgs. Women HATE her.
-
Lol yeah most hate me too, I am 5'5" and around 110 lbs and it doesnt matter what i eat, been there since I was about 15. I dont have alot of female friends but thats mostly my choice because I am not into gossip and do not consider man-bashing a sport like I find so many women do....ah well cant please everyone:P
-
I used to go out with a gorgeous woman who was 46 and had 5 kids but was only 110 lbs despite eating burgers and fries and never exercising. Her eldest daughter was 19 and buxom. The two resembled the Judds....mother being thin and sexy and the daughter being a buxom redhead. To make it worse, the daughter's dates would all lust after her mum. That's not good for a girl's confidence. :)

Wow, 110! I can't imagine. I'm more of a Marilyn Monroe curvy figure althouh not fat by any means.

You're lucky, clothes look so much better on a curvy figure, the only way I would be able to achieve that is through surgery, and thats dangerous and theres my silly needle phobia :P so I have what I have lol ;)

Nothing wrong with curves. There's no man alive that wouldn't shove a stick aside to get to Drew Barrymore.

Elliptical trainer and weight training 3-4 times a week.
I play hockey a couple times a week. Does that count?
I used to play hockey but I stopped about 10 years ago. I loved it. It was a great workout and fun. The collisions, the blood, getting hit by the puck, feeling like I was going to throw up after an excessively long shift...what's not to love?

I'm so jealous. My metabolism is such that if I'm working out heavily I can get into great shape but, if I stop and so much as look at food, my weight goes up. I guess you have to take the good with the bad.
-
Crunches, leg lifts, sit ups and push ups almost everyday. Plus hockey and gymnastics, haven't been to tae kwon do in a while.
But I broke my leg.. so once this cast is off I'm going to start doing squats to build up my chicken legs and make sure I never break my leg again!! :D

Infomercials try to sell different kinds of exercise products. Anyone know if anyone of them are as good as the infomercials make them out to be?

I don't think buying exercise machines and products is too good, because its usually personal preference to which people maybe more accustomed to. The gym is more then adequate.
Everybody wants to sell their product, i think sticking to basic machinery with simple mechanisms is best, all the flashy add ons defeat the purpose and are there for show. As long as they work, they're good...well thats what i think.

I used to go to the gym all the time and plan on getting back into it, but I've been slacking the last few months because I have to figure out a way to make more money unfortunately and this is taking up all my time. I still eat pretty healthy and walk. I played all kinds of sports as a kid and was pretty good, but not great.

You don't need to go to the gym, just get a regular exercise routine at home.
-
I do yoga in the morning, walk the dogs for around 2 hours. I have a physical job as well. In the evening dogs have another walk around one hour, and then I do yoga again to relax.
