Activists working on behalf of the town of Amona, which is slated for destruction by the end of 2016 [because they are Jews], distributed mock “destruction orders” to homes in Judea and Samaria on May 30th. According to the activists there are thousands of homes in Judea and Samaria that are not fully legalized. Further, the activists warned that the definitions can change according to the whims of the High Court. Thus a person could wake up one morning and suddenly discover that his house has been declared illegal.

“We cannot rest quietly until all the Jewish homes are fully legalized in such a way that it cannot be undone,” say the activists. “If we don’t stop the extreme left here in Amona then their craving to destroy Jewish homes and expel Jewish families will grow.”

The activists noted that lawyer Michael Sfard of the extreme left-wing organization Yesh Din said in an interview a few years ago, “There will be more expulsions and not just from hilltops but from entire settlements. Our success in Migron and the Ulpana neighborhood in Beit El are examples of successful strategic locations that were expelled.”

The activists concluded their message by saying, “We, the residents of Amona, call today for the legalization of Amona and for recognizing it as a crucial strategic location from which Jews should not be expelled. If Amona, which is a symbol of the settlement movement as a whole is legalized, this will be a strong message to extreme left-wing organizations and to the people of Israel that the time of expulsions has passed. Jews will no longer be evicted from their homes and going forward Jewish homes will be legalized. In contrast, if Amona is destroyed, it will be used as a strategic precedent by left-wing groups to continued with further destructions of hilltops and entire settlements. We call on everyone to wake up and demand that the political echelon work to legalize Amona.”
