Trump told Bloomberg News today that he’d be ‘honored’ to meet with the N. Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, under the right circumstances:

CNN – President Donald Trump said Monday he would be willing to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “under the right circumstances” to defuse tensions over North Korea’s nuclear program.

“If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it,” Trump told Bloomberg News in an interview Monday. “If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.”

I could understand Trump suggesting he’d meet with Kim Jong Un if there were some major shifts in how N. Korea runs its country, including getting rid of its nuclear arsenal.

But Trump said he’d be honored to meet with him…under the right circumstances. Apparently he also suggested that Un was ‘one smart cookie’.
