Police say a white woman driving her car near the University of Chicago last week with her two young children was suddenly attacked by a mob of at least two dozen black juveniles who surrounded the vehicle, rammed it with their bicycles, and smashed out the back glass, cutting the woman’s 3-year-old son. The woman said the mob was shouting racial slurs at her and told her she didn’t belong in the neighborhood. Luckily, police were already near the scene and responded. immediately arresting two of the youths.

Chicago’s ABC 7 reported that the car was left with dents and shattered glass on the interior. The mother said she was very shaken up by the incident.

“I’m very scared, very anxious, nervous,” she said. She explained further: “Just fearful. They were walking around both sides of the vehicle, in the front, in the back, and as they were walking across, they were hitting my car, using racial slurs and telling me that I didn’t belong in their neighborhood because I was white.”

“This is something that’s going to stay with me the rest of my life,” the woman continued.

The two juveniles were charged with misdemeanor criminal damage to property. So far, the police are not considering this a hate crime.

This story is very similar to one also reported here at TruthRevolt just last month when a mob of black teens attacked a white family, yelling, “Get that white,” as they beat and Tasered the father and 14-year-old son at a family-friendly event in Alabama. The mob then attacked their vehicle, breaking the glass and shattering it all over the mother and her other son, 4, seated inside. This was also not considered a hate crime and received little media attention.
