As Hurricane Matthew Slams Florida, Obama Jets Off for Weekend of Partying
The Florida coast is being pummeled by Hurricane Matthew with wind forces that have topped 120 mph. More than 1 million people are without power. Although the storm has passed over half the state thus far, Governor Rick Scott announced that it was not over and the worst was yet to come.
Massive flooding is expected throughout the state as Hurricane Matthew continues its devastation then heads towards Georgia and South Carolina. While Obama did meet with the press earlier Friday morning and delivered remarks of concern and encouraged people who have been asked to evacuate to do so, that photo op moment is over and it’s time for him to do what he seems to always do after a national tragedy. Par-Tay!!!!
This time, golf is not on Obama’s agenda. At least not as of yet. But, he is going to party it up in Chicago for a weekend of fun and high dollar fundraisers.
Priorities, folks.
