'nappy' is a slur used to describe the common African-American hair pattern. because he also called them 'hoes', his comments were gratuitous and when coming from a white male in position of power, reinforces the black-white power-relations that regrettably existed in this country for quite some time.

where i side with imus is in the respect that he was unfairly crucified by the media and by heavy handed tactics from certain extortionists. also ignored during this 'discussion' was that the real dangers to black americans in 2007 and for quite some time emerge from within their own communities and not from the cracker...

She got elected because she lives in a black district. There was also something on her on the old JTF Forum about her having the Jewish part of her district cut out during redistricting because otherwise, she was going to lose the re-election.
