So I have been thinking, the majority of Jews live in major cities and I find cities unsafe.
Lets think here for a minute
Why do most people live in the city? Opportunity? Education? Jobs/Careers? Population? Public transportation? Food? Culture? Diversity? Technology?
I view cities as a form of control, they are a centralized form of keeping people under control in the perfect setting. Lets face it, you have a large number of people concentrated area and it's easier to control them. Is it no surprise that cities have the most strict gun laws in the country? Is it no surprise that every person is forced to live close together? In the event a city were ever in danger of nuclear attack, this would be the worst area to live. Everyones just piled up on top of each other.
You have no form of survivalism in a city, it's impossible to buy a gun in most major cities, you can't bury supplies anywhere in a city, you can't grow gardens or raise live stock, farm, or do anything without government breathing down your neck.
To make matters worse, if government wanted to isolate a city and prevent anyone from coming in or leaving, it wouldn't be difficult to do. All routes could be blocked off easily from the major highways, the airports/trains and streets could be put under curfew and cut off easily, and people living in these areas wouldn't be able to do much at all.
The first Jews to resettle in what was to become the state of Israel around the late 1800's formed kibbutzs, and while I don't agree with the socialist aspect behind them, perhaps Jews in America should start to look towards investing in rural land or property, perhaps a project of some sort where Jews live in small communities in the midwest or the south far from the rest of the population. Assimilation and politics are killing our people.
Cities are very poor areas to raise our children as they become influenced by the local population.
That's not to say we have to sacrifice our education our certain things cities offer, but it is much better to preserve Jewish culture and the Jewish people by isolating ourselves. My grandpa owned a farm and operated HAM radios, no one bothered him out in the open. There was plenty of open land, he had a farm/crops, hills, a entire lake/marsh, and plenty of land.
Open land like this is going to be more difficult to obtain as time goes on, the United States is not getting any smaller.
The government wants to know everything about you, they want documentation about you such as birth certificates, social security which you have to use to apply for work and to document your bank accounts/how much income you have to tax you, they want to know what vehicle you drive, they want to know where you live, how big your family is, how many guns you own (if your even allowed to have them), what you do on the internet and what you search for, etc.
This is a system that will be used against the people of this country.
I personally believe cities are death traps and urge anyone that lives in one to escape as soon as possible.
