Yeah which is probably why you like vodka. Unfortunately when I try to drink it I don't taste anything. It's like alcoholic water to me. Maybe I just tried some crappy brands though. I don't really feel like dishing out the big bucks for gray goose. At least whiskey and rum have flavor.

Come to think of it, in the circles I used to hang out in, before doing teshuvah, that term was actually pretty commonly thrown about at parties and such.  Maybe more so when it was just guys hanging out.  But really not limited to that.   Sometimes I'm surprised how different things are now when I think back to how they actually were!

Hard core drinkers tend to go with the white liquors. Reason being that they tend to be harder to detect on a persons breath... Vodka really needs to be mixed with something for a casual drinker to enjoy it.

The only alcohol I drink is Kiddush wine... In my older days {in my 20s} I was known to be a drinker, but as I grew up I lost that taste...
